Edwin Seth Martindale, a resident of Henryetta, OK went to his final rest on December 27, 2012 following a brief illness. He was born April 26, 1948 in Brady Texas to Emery S. and Edna M. Martindale. He graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1966. He was a career truck driver until 1998 and spent the last 12 years working with mentally and physically disabled individuals in various capacities which he considered his calling. He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home, three daughters; Becky Martindale of Austin, TX, Laryssa Martindale of San Angelo, TX and Elizabeth Martindale of New York State, as well as two granddaughters, J. Renee Casey and Nikki Casey of Snyder, TX. He is also survived by his wife's family, Patty and Randy Dowell of Roundrock, TX, and their daughter Lindsey Kenneda of Georgetown, TX, and Matthew and Sherri Duke of Henryetta, OK and their children Keeleigh, Shelby, Rylee, Jordan, and Braden. His brothers; Emery Martindale and Wife Veletta of Brownwood, TX and Edward Martindale and wife Pat of Bronte, TX, as well as nieces and nephews and many special friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, an uncle, Oscar Dietz and nieces Natasha Martindale and Gena Vega. Ed was known for his love of all creatures and his unwavering generosity. Many people have been touched by his kind heart and his larger-than-life spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. He was known by many names; husband, Daddy, Ed, Gramps, and Uncle. Most importantly, we called him "ours". There will be private family services.
