Lucille Elaine Foster daughter of the late Rev. Kenneth Leroy VanMeter and Evola Lucille VanMeter was born on July 4th 1952, in Henryetta, Oklahoma.
Elaine's heart and soul was dedicated to God from the time of her birth. The salvation of her family, friends, and any other person she came into contact with was her priority and their lives were impacted by her sweet Spirit, and ability to trust God through all circumstances. Her passion for caring for the human soul carried over to their physical bodies.
On December 6th, 1973 she became a Licensed Practical Nurse and served as the director of nursing for many facilities throughout the state of Oklahoma; where she was a light to those around her.
At the age of 44 she became a nursing home administrator, her nickname was "the warden" where she kept things in order throughout the rest of her career.
On July 9, 1975, she married her soul-mate Sunny Foster. To put it simply their almost 50 years of marriage were spent in the woods or on the water. She had a deep love for hunting and fishing a true mountain woman, she would call herself - and papa was her mountain man. From pontoon boats to hunting houses, these two were a match made in heaven. Another passion they shared was having a Friday night fish fry at "Elaine's Country Kitchen" it brought them great joy to cook food for people. Filling their bellies, creating smiles and filling up their cup spiritually.
The love they shared for each other, was given over to their five children, and what they instilled into them has created a legacy that will live on for generations. They bore a family of faith and unconditional love that you can feel around you now.
Anytime the church doors were open you could find her sitting behind the organ singing songs to her Lord and Savior. After her fathers passing, she became the co pastor of this very church we are sitting in, and boy could she preached the word.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 48 years, Walter "Sunny" Foster.
Children, Chad Foster, and wife, Stacey.
Brad Foster and wife Lela.
And bonus children, John Foster, and wife Teresa.

They called her mom, but we call her Nan.
She adored all 12 of her grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren, one brother, Norman VanMeter & wife Delores, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Brianna, Adrienne, Hunter, Caveryn, Benjamin,
Storm, Lorraine, Shantel, Felicia, Brittany, Dusty, and Danielle were the pride and joy of her life, and the fulfillment of her legacy.
Today we come together to celebrate the life of our nan and to do what she loved best, glorify the Lord. She has always had this verse, at forefront of every conversation.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.
We Love you Nan.
