OBITUARY Elizabeth G. (Betty) Hutton was born on April 1, 1919, in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Ellis T. Condrey and Mildred Messenger Condrey. She died on November 18, 2012, in Edmond, Oklahoma at 93 years of age. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Kesler, Lawton, a son, Richard Hutton and wife Marcia Matthews Hutton, Edmond, and a son, Robert E. Hutton and wife Martha Womble Hutton, Tulsa. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Beth Wright and husband Kip, Paul Kesler and wife Kathy, Lauren Currans and husband Tony, Anne Fields and husband Jeff, and Brig Hutton. She is survived by three great-grandchildren, Ella Browning Currans, Silas Martin Currans and Robert Allen Kesler. She is also survived by her brothers Jack Messenger Condrey, Irvine, CA and John Robert (Bob) Condrey, Littleton, and her loving and caring daughter-in-law Gail Woodliff Foster, Edmond, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Russell Vernon Hutton, and her brothers William Richard Condrey and Ellis Terrell (Terry) Condrey, Jr. Mrs. Hutton attended Draughon's Business School in Denver, CO, following graduation from Henryetta High School in 1936, and later worked in Okmulgee for Addison Sessions. On January 4, 1942, less than a month after the attack on Pearl Harbor, she became the war bride of Russell Hutton who had enlisted in the U.S. Navy along with many other young men of Henryetta. She spent most of the war years in either San Diego or Seattle, participating in USO activities, as well as working in business offices. After the war, she and Russell, returned to Henryetta to live and start a family. Betty immersed herself in the life of the First United Methodist Church. Having started playing piano at the church in High School, she continued to play piano and later, organ for the church for many years. She and Russell served in various leadership roles in the church. Betty was a constant reader and became a sought-after book reviewer for social organizations in Henryetta. At various times she was secretary to the Roy Hinton Insurance Agency, Henryetta Junior High School, and the law offices of Kirk and Duane Woodliff, and later, Woodliff and Hutton. She served on the board of the Henryetta Medical Foundation. She was a member of the 20th Century Club, and the PEO sisterhood. Services will be conducted by Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta at the First United Methodist Church, Henryetta on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, OK. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Henryetta, 1212 Lake Road, Henryetta, OK 74437.
