Ellen Ann Stubbs

Ellen Ann Stubbs, went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2014 in Fort Worth, Texas, after a long battle with COPD and Dementia. She was born in Henryetta, OK on November 4, 1945 to Bert Mayes and Ruby Ann (Moore) Renfro. Ellen married Loren "Lee" East, Jr. of Dewar, OK in 1963; they had 3 girls together - Karen, Rose and Stacey; she and Lee divorced in 1978. She married Richard "Dick" Stubbs of Henryetta, OK in 1982 and remained married to him until his death in 1997. Ellen had a servant's heart - whatever she could do for someone else was her passion. She loved to make gifts for her friends and family using crochet, counted cross-stitch, and plastic canvas. She especially loved her grandchildren and making them happy. While in the nursing home, she enjoyed being the "coffee lady" - being the first one into the café© and making coffee. She would then load up her walker with cups of coffee for everyone and deliver to them. She quickly learned just how everyone liked their coffee and made sure they got what they wanted. Ellen is preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Ruby Renfro; her step-mother, Edna Mae Renfro; her husband, Richard "Dick" Ronald Stubbs; her brother, Curtis Dale Renfro; her step-brother Gene Snyder, and step-sister, Connie Cooper. Survivors include her three daughters, Karen Renee (East) Vaughn of Paris, TX; Rose Ellen (East) Conkwright and her husband, Robert, of Fort Worth, TX; Stacey LeeAnn (East) Kelley and her husband Kiley of Kellyville, OK; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Conkwright and his wife, Allison, Micah Medlock and his wife, Laura, Aaron Medlock, KC Kelley, Lacey (Kelley) Henson, and Kyle Kelley; her great-granddaughters Sarenna Henson, Lillith Henson and Rylee Medlock; her step-children Cecyl Teresa Stubbs of North Richland Hills, TX and Woodrow Ronald Stubbs of Henryetta, OK, along with their children, Kelsey, Taylor, Amanda and Miranda, and their grandchildren, Brynn, Brooke, Ryan, Amberleigh, Larisa, Adrian and Kayson; her step-brother, Leroy Snyder and his wife, Sheree, of Henryetta, OK; her step-sisters, Nancy Witt and her husband, Wayne, of Tulsa, OK; Nelda Smith and her husband, Gene, of Okema, OK; Pat Mosco, and her husband, Bud, of Henryetta, OK; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones. A Memorial Service was held at Fellowship of the Parks Church in Keller, TX on May 5, 2014. A Graveside Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10:00am at the Westlawn Cemetery, Henryetta, OK, under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
