Elva Marie Davis

Elva Marie "Elvie" Mead-Davis a resident of Weleetka passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011 in Weleetka at the age of 80. She was born to William McGee and Vada (Lovell) McGee in Wetumka, Oklahoma. She married Jack Mead in 1945, three children were born to this union. In later years she married Ben Davis in 1981. Elva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ben Davis, one son, Terry Mead, one sister Loraine Gilliam, and one great-grandson. Elva is survived by two children, Jerry Ray Mead & wife Jean of Weleetka, Tearesa Cantrell & husband Don of Weleetka, 5 grandchildren, Donny Cantrell & wife Sheri of Dewar, Dana Britt of Henryetta, Shana Mead of Wetumka, Jerry Ray Mead Jr. of Weleetka, and Jeffrey Mead of Weleetka, 10 great grandchildren, one sister, Jackie McEwin of Moore, Oklahoma, and by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Donny Cantrell, Greyson Long, JJ. Mead, Aaron Clay, Jay McEwin, Mike Clapp, Dakota Cantrell, and Jeffery Mead. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 3:00p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Weleetka with Rev. Chester Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.
