Elvis Boyd Devine, a resident of Schulter, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at his home in Schulter, OK at the age of 84. He was born October 14, 1928 in West Plains, MO to Tom Devine & Bertha Jane (Smith) Devine. Elvis proudly served during the Vietnam War in the US Air Force. He served until his retirement in 1973. He is a member of the American Legion and the Air Force Sergeants Association. Elvis married the love of his life, Mary on August 29, 1958 in Miami, Florida. He is preceded death by his parents, Tom and Bertha Jane Devine, and by his sister, Pauline Avery. Elvis is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Devine of the home, daughter, Debbie Kanada & husband Aaron of Schulter, son, Donald Devine & wife Sheila of Okemah, grandchildren, Joshua Deckard & wife Erica of Schulter, Larasha Loyd of Henryetta, Dallas Loyd of Schulter, Zachary Devine of Okemah, and Chance Devine of Okemah, brother, Elmer Devine & wife Betty of Claremont, Missouri, sister, Alene Swaney & husband Doyle of Adrian, Missouri, and brother, Dallas Devine of Riverside, California, as well a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be R. L. Wilbourn, Wesley Rosson, James Rosson, Paul Dodson Jr., Oralee Henshaw, and Jim Hackett. Family will greet friends from 2-8 pm on Tuesday at Integrity Funeral Service. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Dewar with Rev. Michael Ballew, officiating. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
