Fannie May Buell

November 18, 1931 — April 30, 2017

Fannie Mae (Buckman) Buell went home to be with her Lord on April 30, 2017 at the age of 85. Fannie was born in Bethel, Maine on November 18, 1931 to Clifford Buckman and Eva Mary Baker Buckman. She was the 6th of 7 children.

Fannie is preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, and one son, Daniel Isaac Buell. She is survived by 2 children; Kim (Buell) Fields and husband Bob of Greensville, Texas, and Jonathan Marcus Buell and wife Laura Buell of the Wilson Community. Fannie has five grandchildren: Christopher Buell of the Wilson Community, Nick and Monica Buell and (2 great grandchildren) Emma and Colton of the Wilson Community; Cody Lee Fields of Austin, Texas, Kimberly Noel (Fields) and Brett Fugitt of Greensville, Texas, and Sarah Danielle Buell of the Wilson Community.

Fannie married Marvin Lee Buell on March 21, 1957. They had been married for 60 years when she passed. Marvin is a retired Pastor and missionary for the Church of the Nazarene. Marvin and Fannie traveled to many Spanish speaking countries spreading the word of God to others. They have served as missionaries to Old Mexico and the Panama Canal Zone. Their children, Jonathan and Kim, were born and raised on the mission field while they served in the Panama Canal zone.

Fannie valued education. She earned both a bachelor's and master's degree and taught PK through sixth grade in the states of Missouri, Oklahoma and Kentucky when the family returned from the mission field. Marvin was a Pastor. Fannie's teaching extended to the church also as Fannie has been a Sunday School teacher for many years, and helped with many different church activities.

Hobbies that Fannie enjoyed were gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, and having fun with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fannie will be missed by many. She was a loved and cherished lady that always had a smile on her face, and a sweet positive word for everyone that knew her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta. Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 10am to 8pm. The family will be present to meet and greet guests at Integrity Funeral Service on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Church of the Nazarene, located at 711 N. Okmulgee Street in Okmulgee with Rev. Gary Brown officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Morris Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Buell, NIcholas Buell, Harrell Dun, Eric Ringgold, and John Steadman. Honorary bearers will be Cody Fields and Brett Fugitt.
