Foster Dale Garrett a resident of Henryetta passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in Henryetta at the age of 75. Foster was born to Cleo Vester Garrett & Ida Jane (Foster) Garrett on September 23, 1935 in Okemah, Oklahoma. Foster attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Henryetta. He was a member of the Henryetta Rotary Club, was involved in the Henryetta Beautification project, and raised funds for the Relay for Life. Foster worked in banking for over 50 years and was a past president of the American Exchange Bank in Henryetta and was still serving on the AEB board. He also officiated many ballgames throughout the year as referee. Preceding him in death were both his parents, Cleo Vester & Ida Jane Garrett. Surviving family members include his three children, David Dale Garrett & wife Rajeana of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Rebecca Lynn Smith of Henryetta, and Amelia Dawn Rakestraw of Henryetta, grandchildren, Allison Garrett of Oklahoma City, Alicia Garrett of Oklahoma City, David Dale Corbin & wife Jennifer of Florida, Heather Nicole Little & husband Brian of Beardsley, Minnesota, Ashley Dawn Smith of Henryetta, Curtis Smith of Henryetta, Trevor Scott Rakestraw of Henryetta, Tayler Shae Rakestraw of Henryetta, 7 great grandchildren, Abigail, Hannah, Emma, Nathan, Kaidence, Aiden, and Madison, his twin sister, Freda Gayle Hall & husband Jimmie of Oklahoma City, sister, Barbara Jane Attebery & husband Joe of Oklahoma City, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Family will greet friends at Integrity Funeral Service from 4-6 pm on Wednesday, May 25th. Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Henryetta with Rev. Marcus Whitworth officiating. Interment will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery in Okemah. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
