411 W. Division Street Henryetta, OK 74437 (918) 652-4461 Frances Louise Kessel, a resident of Dewar passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Dewar at the age of 75. She was born December 28, 1936 in Hitchita, Oklahoma to Lewis M. Smith and Rosa May (Shaw) Smith. Frances attended school in Hitchita and Okmulgee Public Schools. She married Albert L. Kessel on October 6, 1961 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Airport Fabrication in California and served as Vice-President and co-owner. Frances and Al moved to Dewar from California in 1993 and she remained there until her death. She was a member of Dewar First Baptist Church. She loved time with her family, who she adored and also loved antique shopping and one of her favorite things to do was play Bingo. She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Dorothy Gilroy, Jewel Dean Smith, & Florene Bentley. Also by a brother, Lewis Smith, Jr. and a half-brother, Gary Tom Smith. Frances is survived by her husband, Al Kessel of the home Seven children, Harold D. Maghe & wife Aliene of Harbor City, California, Karen Thomason of Katula, Texas; Waymon Maghe of Henryetta; Rosanna Parker of Dewar; Daniel Kessel & wife Karen of Anaheim, California; Florene D. Lindemuth & husband Adam of Henryetta; Lynn Duke & husband Alex of Morris; Grandchildren, Lynn Kessel, Alicia Boatright, Shannon Atolgue, Lonnie Thomason, Tony Thomason, Brian Thomason, Dewayne maghe, Clarise Maghe, Alex Maghe, Michael Maghe, Lorinda Maghe, Amy Redfern, Alora parker, nicholas Kessel, Robert Kessel, Edward Jacome, & Elizabeth Maghe. Great-grandchildren, Kyle Watson, Branden Atolgue, Brianna Boatright, Amilia Moyer, Shelby Maghe, Adalantra Maghe, Bradley Scordino, Collin Reed mann, Benjamin Atolgue, Sky Maghe, Adrina Maghe, Joseph Jacome & William Boatright. As well as a host of friends and other relatives. Pallbearers will be, Chris Boatright, Alex Duke, Rusty Johnson, Waymon Maghe, Edward Jacome, Adam Lindemuth. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Nicholas Kessel, Robert Kessel, Bill Johnson, James Stephens, Bobby Jones, & John Durbin. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Vance, officiating. Interment will follow in Kessel Cemetery under direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
