Frank Porter

Charles Frank Porter, 90, a life long resident of Henryetta, Oklahoma, passed peacefully from this life and entered into his eternal home with Jesus on January 7, 2020 surrounded by his loving family and friends at the beautiful Porta Caeli Hospice Home in Tulsa Oklahoma.

Frank was born on August 3, 1929 in Elm Grove, Oklahoma to John Henry & Maude Lee Porter. Frank was one of 15 children.

Frank lived most of his years in Henryetta and graduated from Henryetta High School. He married Rita Faye Brown on January 3, 1948 and lived a beautiful life with her until her passing on January 3, 2004, their 56th wedding anniversary.

Frank’s life will be remembered as one who loved and served the Lord, faithfully. He greatly loved southern gospel music, was song leader at his church for many years and continued his singing with impromptu songs while living at Chrystal Springs Retirement Village. He dearly loved his family and friends and always had a smile on his face and a song in his heart.

He and Rita, together, faithfully loved, encouraged and served others of all ages, while sharing and living their love of their savior, Jesus Christ.

Frank is survived by his son, Gary Porter, and wife, June, of Mannford, Oklahoma; daughter, Robin Watanabe, and husband, Mike, of Littleton, Colorado; grandson Scot Porter and wife, Diane, of Bixby; granddaughter Marcy Cline and husband, Tracy, of Broken Arrow; granddaughter Kristin Willis and husband, Brett of Denver, Colorado; great grandchildren, Kylie Porter, Peyton Porter, Alyson Porter, Collin Cline and Leo Willis;

Sisters Dorothy Tuley of Sand Springs and Grace Moore of Tulsa; brothers Clifford Porter & wife Ann of Henryetta, John Porter Jr. of Harrison, Arkansas and Lindell Porter and wife Linda of Tulsa; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be on Thursday, from 3pm until 8pm with family greeting visitors from 5pm until 7pm.

Pallbearers will be, Mike Watanabe, Tracy Cline, clifford Porter, Leo Lassiter, Roy Bailey & Darrel Moreland.

Funeral services will be held at New Life Assembly of God Church on New Lake Road & C Street, on Friday, January 10, at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Allen Lewis officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Chrystal Springs Retirement Village, 2300 W. Main, Henryetta, OK, 74437 and New Life Church 1201 S. "C" St., Henryetta, OK 74437.
