Frank "Jack" Howard was born on January 30, 1923 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Frank A. Howard & Betty (Baker) Howard. Frank Passed away at the age of 81 on Monday, February 2, 2004 a few hours after his wife.
Pansy May Howard was born on December 14, 1917 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Lemuel Tunnell & Laura (Baker) Tunnell. She passed away Sunday, February 1, 2004 at the age of 86.
Jack & Pansy were married on March 11, 1939 in Checotah Oklahoma. March 11, would have been their 65th wedding anniversary. They were devoted to each other as husband and wife and were loving parents, grandparents and great grandparents.
They were lifelong residents of Henryetta and were members of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Pansy was also a member of the Stitch in Time Quilting Club. Frank Served the United States during WWII in the US Army. He worked for Eagle Pitcher Smelter for 25 years and was self employed until retirement. Mrs. Howard was a homemaker.
Their Son David E. Howard preceded them in death.
The Howards are survived by four sons, Frank Howard & wife Jody, of Henryetta, James Howard & wife Joyce of Henryetta, Charles Howard of Picola, Oklahoma, and Jack Howard & wife Alice of Liberty Mounds, Oklahoma, three daughters, Jacqueline Richardson & husband Clifford of Marlow, Peggy Reynolds of Henryetta, and Katharin Howard of Henryetta, one daughter-in-law, Vicki Howard of Tulsa, Pansey Howard's sister, Janie Hogue & husband Marvin of Tulsa.
17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services were held Saturday, February 7, 2004, at 11:00 am at Immanuel Baptist Church, Henryetta, officiated by Dr. Jim Ray. Services are under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
