Franklin M Beaver, was born on August 28, 1935 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Lecus and Nancy Beaver. He went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2017 at his home in Okemah, Oklahoma where he lived surrounded by his family for over 25 years.
He married the love of his life, Norma Jean Jimboy on June 18, 1960 in Lawrence, Kansas and had two daughters.
He went to Jones Academy, where he was a member of the Jr. Golden gloves. He then attended Haskell Institute and was active in track and field.
He later attended Haskell University and received an A.A. degree. He had various awards in Track and Field including a record long jump of over 21 feet. Franklin had a passion for his job as a mason which he continued for over 40 years until retirement.
In his earlier years he enjoyed playing fast pitch and eventually coaching the Kansas City Braves Softball Team. He enjoyed playing dominoes, marbles, lawn darts, and egg toss along with picking pecans. He also liked to watch his favorite football teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and OU Sooners and his favorite basketball team, the Oklahoma City Thunder.
He loved to spend time with his family, especially his great grandchildren.
He is survived of the home by his wife, Norma Jean Beaver, daughter, Rhonda Holahta, and son-in-law, Timmie Holahta.
He is also survived by daughter, Carol Miller and fiance Lewis Harjo Jr. of Okemah.
his grandchildren, Jason Beaver and wife Marlena of Glenpool, Amanda Ryba of Okemah, Vanessa Johnson and husband Gabriel of Henryetta, and Amber Scott and husband John Jr. of Muskogee.
His great grandchildren, Max Radebaugh, Gabriel Johnson, James Beaver, Lawrence Scott, Olivia Johnson, Andrea Scott, Ryleigh Johnson, and Payton Spears, along with a host of nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Beaver, sister, Carolyn Hobucket Adams, mother, Nancy Beaver, father, Lecus Beaver, and uncle, Buddy Bear.
Pallbearers will be Mark Jimboy, James Jimboy, Michael Jimboy, Eric Jimboy, Drew Patneaude, and Isaiah Patneaude. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Holden, Dorsey Nero, Thomas Yahola, Timmie Holahta, and Duane Evans and In memory of Paul McNac.
Wake services are scheduled for Friday, September 15, 2017 at Creek Chapel in Okemah at 7pm.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Creek Chapel in Okemah with Rev. Al Patneaude, and Rev. Edwin Jimboy, officiating. Interment will follow at the Jimboy Family Cemetery in Okemah. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
