Garland Wayne Benton, Sr.

Garland Wayne Benton Sr., a resident of Henryetta, passed away December 01, 2013 in Henryetta, OK at the age of 69. He was born July 15, 1944 in Henryetta, OK to Virgil Benton & Ruth (Henry) Benton. He retired from Kelco Corporation as a Lab Technician. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister. Garland is survived by his wife, Deborah Benton of the home, One son, Garland Benton Jr. & wife Stefani of Dallas, One daughter, Janet McNeely of Dallas, One step-son, Brian McDaniel & wife Christina of Dallas, Two grandchildren, Madison and Blake Benton of Dallas, Three brothers, Galen Benton & wife Brenda of Henryetta, Bill Benton of Talihina, Ok, and Eddie Benton of Bixby, One sister, Julene Shoun & husband Bobby of Owasso, As well as a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Todd Benton, Eddie Joe Benton, Dustin Benton, Dwayne Bryant, Rusty Brown, and Andy Bissett. Viewing will be from 12noon - 8pm on Wednesday. A funeral is scheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 2:00PM, at the First Baptist Church in Dewar with Rev. Jack Vance, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
