Gearldean (Potts) Hammond

Gearldean Hammond, a resident of Hitchita, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 in Seminole, OK at the age of 94. She was born September 6, 1921 in Hitchita, OK to Heck Potts & Birtie (Brandon).
She was preceded in death by her husband RD Hammond Sr., her parents, daughter Emma Gearldean Hammond, sister, Josephine Brown, Brother Sammy Potts, granddaughter, Jamie Roach.
Gearldean is survived by her son, Reeves Hammond Jr. of Hitchita,
4 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren,
two sisters, Jessie Mae Carson of Hitchita,
and Ann brown of Hitchita,
as well as a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 5-8pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 and from 8am-8pm on Wednesday, at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 10:00 am. at Mission Baptist Church in Hitchita, Oklahoma with Rev. Jerry Carson, officiating. Interment will follow at Lackey Cemetery in Hitchita. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
