George Albert Holden

George Albert Holden, a resident of Spavinaw, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Saturday, February 1st, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 63. George was born on January 10, 1951 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to George E. Holden and Lorene Harrelson Holden. George grew up in the Sapulpa area and later graduated from Tulsa Webster High School in 1969. He attended Tulsa Vo-Tech and subsequently began working for American Airlines as a machinist. George faithfully served American Airlines for over 20 years before retiring in Tulsa as a machinist and mechanic in 2009. George married Deidre Edgemon DeLana on April 21, 2006 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. George was a longtime member of the National Rifle Association. He loved attending gun shows and shooting on the gun range. He also loved traveling and working on automobiles and trucks. George was a loving husband and father and he will be missed by his family and friends. George is preceded in death by both his mother and his father. He is survived by his wife, Deidre Holden of the home; a daughter, Andrea Mason of Allentown, PA; three stepsons, Matt DeLana and wife Sheli of Broken Arrow, Patrick DeLana and wife Alicia of Coweta, OK, and Tate DeLana and wife Amanda of Bixby; two special grandchildren, Ashlynn DeLana and Kayleigh DeLana, both of Coweta; a brother, Philip Holden and wife Vicki of Broken Arrow; a sister, June Allen and husband Jim of Broken Arrow; a mother-in-law, Betty Edgemon of Henryetta; a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; and other extended family as well as many good friends. Viewing for George will be held at Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta on Monday, February 3 from 2pm until 8pm and on Tuesday, February 4 from 8am until 8pm. A funeral service for George will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 2:00pm at Integrity Chapel, 410 E. Trudgeon in Henryetta with Rev. Rick Nance officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Morris Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Tim Lamb, Rick Hucklby, Ray Ballard, Jimmy Ranken, Brian Matchell, and David Copeland.
