George Ray Snow

George Ray Snow, a resident of Henryetta, was born February 4, 1949 in Henryetta to William Snow and Montine Ann Harris Snow. He passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at his home in Henryetta at the age of 61. George grew up in Henryetta and attended Henryetta Public Schools. He began his military service immediately afterwards and served for 18 years before ending his US Navy service. During his military service he was decorated with the National Defense Service Medal, earned the Sea Service Deployment ribbon, and the Navy Expeditionary Medal. He worked for many years as a truck driver and worked the past several years as a sales clerk for C&C Automotive of Henryetta. He has also served as a reserve police officer with the Henryetta Police Department. George married Terry Gain on June 25, 2010 in Dennison, Texas. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. George is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife, Terry Ann Snow of the home; two sisters, JoAnn Chandler of Henryetta and Gladys Common and husband Doug of Henryetta; a brother, Darrell Pierson of Del City, OK; step-daughter, Amanda Bosscawen of Norman, OK; 3 step-sons, Tracy Moore of Henryettta, Sean Moore of Norman, OK, and Michael Moore of Norman; a niece, Tricia Barton of of Henryetta; and a nephew, Scott Watson of Henryetta.; 4 step grandchildren, Raven, Lindsey, Navi, and Tori; numerous other nieces, nephews and many good friends. Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 2:00p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta with Rev. Wesley VanMeter officiating. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta. Pallbearers will be Scott Watson, Trae Barton, Cliff Watson, Tracy Moore, Doug Common, and Michael Barton. Joseph Watson will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Viewing and visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 13 from 11am to 8pm and Sunday, from noon to 8pm.
