Gerald Wayne DeVore

Gerald Wayne DeVore passed peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and two devoted daughters on October 15, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years, 1 month and 1 day. Gerald Was born in Modesto, California on September 14, 1961 to William and Easter (Williams) DeVore. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gene and Melvin DeVore.

Gerald will be remembered for his infectious laugh, love for gospel music, and Diet Dr. Pepper. Gerald graduated from Henryetta High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Henryetta. Gerald married the love of his life, Cheryl Sue Fisher on November 12, 1994 in Hoffman, Oklahoma. They spent the next thirty years raising their two daughters in Morris, Oklahoma.

His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his adoring wife, Cheryl of the home, and his daughters Carly DeVore of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Jessica Frazier and husband Nate of Morris, Oklahoma; siblings, Pat West and husband Rick of Moore, Oklahoma, Fran Blaylock of Missouri, and Janet Conrad of California; mother and father-in-law Ted and Carolyn Fisher of Morris, Oklahoma; brother-in-law Ralph Fisher and wife Marianne of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Brenda Todd and husband Ben of Boynton, Oklahoma and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Viewing for Gerald will be on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 3:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Integrity Chapel with Reverend Dale Huckabay officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Fisher Family Cemetery in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ralph Fisher, Ben Todd, Brad Fisher, Nate Frazier, Chase Howard, Jerome McCrary, Kyle Huckabay, Nathan Huckabay and Jonathan Gentzel. Honorary pallbearers will be Ted Fisher and Rick West.
