Gladys Marie Deal

Gladys Marie Deal, a resident of Dewar, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022 at her home in Dewar, OK at the age of 100. She was born March 23, 1922 in Drummond, TN to Joseph Pinkney Hurt & Lulia Winnefred (Gilpin) Hurt.

She was married to Maurice D. Deal on January 31, 1940 in Marion, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rev. M.D. Deal, grandson, Jeremy Howser, sister, Pauline, brothers, Charlie, Bill, George, Alvin, and twin brothers, Jess & Less.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Doris Parkey-Janzen & husband Virgil of Oklahoma City, daughter, Dana Deal of Oklahoma City, two grandchildren; Debra Guildes & husband Jay of Dallas, and Nathan Parkey of Oklahoma City, great grandchildren; and Nicolette Hanselka, Carmen Rana Bales, great-great grandchildren; Trystan Hinton, Dylan Birtch, Cameron Hinton, Isabell Hinton, Kayleigh Ball, and Breanna Bales, one great-great-great grandchild, as well as a host of friends and church family.

Viewing will be from 2-8 PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Dewar United Pentecostal Church. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Integrity Funeral Service.
