Gladys Irene Swan

Gladys Irene Swan, a longtime resident of Henryetta, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 in Henryetta at the age of 98. She was born August 27, 1914 in Salem, Oklahoma to Charles Louis Fowler and Julia (Guinn) Fowler. Gladys married Delmar T. Swan on June 21, 1938 in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Delmar T. Swan, her parents, a sister, Ocie Gambini and a brother, Wilbur Fowler. She is survived by: One daughter, Barbara Kirkpatrick of Broken Arrow; One son, Glen Swan & wife Mary Ann of Tulsa; Five Grandchildren, Cheryl Sherman & husband Bob of Broken Arrow; Ronnie Kirkpatrick of Broken Arrow; Richard Kirkpatrick of Broken Arrow; Kelly Swan & wife Jeannette of Jenks; Kember Allen & husband Matt of Stillwater; Seven great-grandchildren, Camden, Jordan, Noble, Corban, Aaron, Baden, & Ryder. Viewing will be from 4-8pm Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Integrity Funeral Service. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at New Sonora Cemetery with Rev. Jim Ray, officiating. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
