Glandolene Scott

April 14, 1943 — May 22, 2011

Glenda Scott, a longtime resident of Dewar, was born April 14, 1943 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 22, 2011 in Tulsa at the age of 68. She was a member of Little Coweta Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, which she was very talented at. One of her beaded medallions was presented to President Gerald Ford by Principal Chief Claude Cox. Several pieces of her native American beadwork are displayed in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. Her other hobbies included crappie fishing, gardening and travelling. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Glenda worked her way through nursing school and became a registered nurse. She worked at Okemah Hospital and various home health services before her health began to fail. She will always be remembered for her kind loving spirit and her enormous generosity. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eliza Moore Daily and William Henry Daily, her husband mason Hendrix "Buddy" Scott, three brothers, Woody Lee, Spy Beaver & Allen Daily. She is survived by two sons: Keith Scott and wife Terri of Wagoner Ty Scott of Dewar A sister, Edna Brownfield & husband Fred of Dewar A brother, John Timothy & wife Helen of Muskogee Grandchildren: Keiann Jackson, Brittney Scott, Brandon Ward, Bryan Scott, Keith Allen Scott, Tylynn Scott, Shyann Scott, & Hunter Scott One great grandson, Tripp Jackson Also a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives Pallbearers will be: Rocky Lee, Mark Beaver, John Timothy, Derick Brownfield, Dionn Brownfield, Shannon Daily & Chris Daily. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Casey McIntosh, officiating. Interment will follow in Hoffman Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
