Grace White

Grace White, a long-time resident of Henryetta, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in Henryetta at the age of 82. Grace was born on June 26, 1930 in Henryetta to Willie A. Hughes and Emma Hughes. Grace worked for a number of years in statuary sales in Henryetta. Grace was a longtime member of the Freewill Baptist Church. She was active in the Jefferson PTA. She loved arts and crafts, ceramics, and loved to crochet. She was an accomplished cook and took pride in baking cakes for others. Grace married Simy J. White on May 2, 1949 in El Paso, TX. Grace is preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband Simy J. White, and her sister, Lavada Henderson. She is survived by a son, Simy Wayne White and wife Merry of Wewoka; Two daughters, Shirley West and husband Eddie of Broken Arrow; Donna Peavler and husband Larry of Henryetta; Five grandchildren, Tina Walters and husband Derek of Henryetta, Rodney West and wife Angela of Broken Arrow, Angie Arthur and husband Nic of Fairview, Bradley West of Broken Arrow, and Simy John White and wife Kari of Wewoka; Seven great grandchildren, Madison Walters, Samuel Arthur, Gracie Jo Arthur, Karly White, Simy Kole White and Kyndell West; A sister, Nellie Laughlin and husband Don of Henryetta; Numerous other extended family and many good friends. Viewing will be held at Integrity Funeral Service on Saturday from 8am until 8pm, and Sunday from noon to 8pm. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 2:00pm at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta with Rev. Justin Tarwater officiating. Interment will follow immediately under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
