Helen Inez (Nunn) Brady passed away peacefully in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 22, 2014 at age 84. She was born February 1, 1930 in Dustin, Oklahoma to John William (Boss) and Pearl (Cobstill) Nunn. She grew up and attended school in Cole Corner, Morris, Dewar, and Schulter, Oklahoma. Upon graduation from Schulter Public School in 1947, she married Richard Thomas Brady on June 10, 1947 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and they were together 60 years before his passing on July 27, 2007. They lived in Henryetta, Wagoner, Gore, and Porum, Oklahoma, before moving to Sand Springs, Oklahoma in 1967 where they had lived ever since. Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gore and also the First Baptist Church of Porum. She was the pianist for both churches, and also taught Sunday school. She provided transportation to all church services for several of the rural children in the family station wagon. She loved attending church functions and parties. Helen's life work was as a home maker. She loved spending time with her family, rarely missing a sporting or racing event, music recital, livestock show, church or school activity, and graduations of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, reading, crossword puzzles, crocheting, cooking, attending Tulsa Driller baseball games and Oral Roberts University basketball games, and traveling with her husband and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Boss and Pearl Nunn; husband, Richard; son-in-law Terry Lee Walsh; three brothers, Thad Nunn, Frank Nunn, Jake Nunn; sister, Nina (Nunn) Shively, and three sister-in-laws, Imogene Nunn, June Nunn and Sarah Nunn. Helen is survived by her son Raymond Gene Brady and wife Maralea of Sand Springs: daughter Beverly Renae Walsh of Chouteau; son Randall Glen Brady of Sand Springs; eight grand-children, Richard Don Walsh and wife Cathy, Chad Alan Walsh and wife Kellie, Randall Glen Brady Jr., Michael Ray Brady, Derrick Wayne Brady, Patrick Aaron Brady, and Rachael Anne Brady; eight great grandchildren, Rebecca Renae Walsh, Jacob Brady Walsh, Gillette Lee Walsh, Jayden Dakota Brady, Kage Braxton Brady, Riley Thomas Brady, Sonny Ray Brady, and Haven Anne Good; and one brother, Tom Nunn of Henryetta, as well as a host of extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00pm, February, 25 at Integrity Funeral Service Chapel (918-652-6600) in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Interment with her husband will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Henryetta, Oklahoma.
