Herbert Lee Peters, a resident of Henryetta, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2019 in Henryetta, OK at the age of 70. He was born September 25, 1948 in Okmulgee, OK to Leon Peters & Dorisola (Goad) Peters.
He served in the United States Army as a sharpshooter during the Vietnam War.
He was a diesel mechanic, taught diesel mechanics at a technical school and was a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his Father Leon Peters, one son, Herbert Loyd Peters, brother, Steven Peters, foster brother: Kenneth Stump, one brother-in-law, Jim Thompson, nephew, Buddy Hughes as well as Paternal and Maternal Grandparents.
Herbert is survived by wife Janice Kay Peters of the home,
son Jefferson Lee Peters of Tulsa,
mother, Dorisola Peters of Henryetta,
brother, Jimmy Peters and wife Veronica of Haskell,
sister, Jeannette Thompson of Coweta,
sister, Janice Hughes and husband Ernest of Henryetta,
sister, Elizabeth Peters of Henryetta,
sister -in-law, Susie Peters Brown and husband Bill of Porter,
sister-in-law, Faye Stump- Anglin
step sons; Scott Jones and wife Tabitha of Dewar,
Jerry Reed and Wife Shelia of Chelsea,
Mark Reed and Walley Roach and wife Shelia of Claremore,
David Roach and wife Jamie of Chelsea,
and Douglas Hawkins of Kentucky,
11 step grandchildren,
8 step great grandchildren,
as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing for Herbert will be from 2pm to 8pm on Sunday February 24th with family present to greet friends. from 6pm to 8 pm. Further viewing on Monday from 8am to 8pm at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Dewar First Baptist Church, at 507 6th st, Dewar Oklahoma with Eulogy by Albert Peters, Interment will follow at Morris Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
