Ida Nell Fox, a resident of Okmulgee passed away Thursday, January 15th, 2015 in New Orleans, Louisiana at the age of 65. She was born September 9th, 1949 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Clell W. Henson and Dorothy Ann Buckley Henson. She was a graduate of Dewar High School Class of 1967. She married Cary Joe Fox on August 15, 1969 at Dewar First Baptist Church. Ida Nell received a Bachelor's degree in Education at East Central University and completed her Master's degree at the University of Tulsa. Her career in education was at Preston Public Schools where she began as a Home Economics teacher and later became Principal of Preston Elementary School retiring in 2011. She was a member of Preston Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Clell W. Henson and Dorothy Henson. She is survived by her husband, Cary Fox of the home; Three sons: Joe Broc Fox & wife Laura of Ft. Lee, Virginia; Joshua Fox & wife Annie of Okmulgee; Jay Fox & wife Misty of Okmulgee; Seven grandchildren: P.J., Royce, Jacey, Kyle, Jackson, Leia, & Lee Three brothers: Don Henson & wife Beverly of Okmulgee; Lt. Col. Retired William Neil Henson & wife Sue of Atlanta, Georgia; Mike Henson & wife Cathy of Arizona; As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. At request of the family, the casket will remain closed at the funeral home and funeral service. Pallbearers will be, James Pittman, Terry Jones, Lawrence McCullah, Ernie Sharp, Garry Byars, & Gordon Meyer. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Jay Roberds, Frank Roberds, Glen Owen, Vincent James, Casey Hurst, Scott McCullah, & Kevin Jones. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 22, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Okmulgee with Rev. Jack Vance and Rev. Wade Harelson officiating. Interment will follow in Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
