Inez Cravens (Carson), age 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 20, 2025, in McAlester, Oklahoma. Born on January 29, 1929, in Hitchita, Oklahoma, Inez was the daughter of Myrtle A. (Dillie) and William Earl Carson.
Throughout her life, Inez was known for her dedication and steady presence, spending the majority of her career working in dispatch. Beyond her professional life, she found joy in playing the steel guitar and was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, always eager to lend a helping hand and support her community.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings-Boss Carson, Dallas Carson, John Carson, Olen Carson, and Earleen Counts. Inez is survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory and the legacy she leaves behind.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Lackey Cemetery in Hitchita, Oklahoma. The service will be officiated by Jerry Carson.
Inez will be remembered for her kindness, her quiet strength, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
