J. W. Harjo, Jr.

J. W. Harjo Jr., a resident of Okemah, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in Holdenville, OK at the age of 45. He was born April 5, 1968 in Wewoka, OK to J. W. Harjo Sr. & Naomie Ruth (Simmer) Harjo. J.W. was preceded in death by both his parents, 2 brothers, Jimmie Harjo and Jason Harjo, one sister, Sheila Harjo. J. W. is survived by his daughter, Paige Walker & husband Travis of Colorado, son, Jake Harjo of Marietta, Oklahoma, son, Justin Harjo of Marietta, Oklahoma, 4 grandchildren, three brothers, Joe Harjo & wife Renee of Tulsa, Tim Harjo of Tulsa, and Daniel Harjo of Okemah, special friends, Wendall Stanfield & wife Jeri of Konawa, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. A wake service will be held Friday Evening at 7pm at Greenleaf Indian Baptist Church in Okemah. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00pm at Greenleaf Indian Baptist Church in Okemah. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.
