Jacob Lee Harjo, a resident of Tulsa, passed away Friday, July 2, 2010 at the age of 80. He was born April 2, 1930 to Josiah and Larnee (Holahta) Harjo in Okemah, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Alabama Indian Baptist Church in Weleetka. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 35 years, Lydia Harjo and four brothers, Alex Grammar, Bill Harjo, Noah and Wessie Grammer. Survivors include his four children, Judith Manley of Tulsa, John and Marvella Harjo of Oakhurst, Glen and Valerie Harjo of Sapulpa and Sarah Harjo of Tulsa; three grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Henryetta. Wake Services will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Alabama Indian Baptist Church in Weleetka. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Alabama Indian Baptist Church.
