Jameia Sue (Quinton) Davis, a former Dewar and Hoffman resident, passed from this life on Sunday, January 6, 2018 in Grenada, California at the age of 65. Jameia was born on April 8, 1953 in Henryetta, OK to James Robert Quinton and Peggy Lou Eisenhower Quinton.
Jameia grew up in the Henryetta, OK area, living first in Hoffman where she attended elementary school. She attended Dewar High School for three years before finishing her last year of high school in Morris, OK, where she graduated. Jameia woked in Beggs at a restaurant and service station for several years. She spent most of her life as a loving homemaker and stay-at-home mother.
Jameia was an accomplished artist and she loved to draw and paint. She was well known within her family as an excellent cook and homemaker. Most of all Jameia was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother and she will be long remembered for her kindness.
She is preceded in death by both her mother and father; by two brothers, Jimmy Bruce Quinton and Terry Haynes Quinton; and a son, James Robert Gaither.
She is survived by a son, Tom Gaither, Jr. and wife Amy of Weed, CA; a son, Joe Gaither of Enid, OK; nine grandchildren, Trey Gaither, Brandon Gaither, Kaitlin Van Hooser, Gabriel Gaither, Jarrett Gaither, Erin Gaither, Jayde Gaither, Jack Gaither, and Gemma Gaither; a sister, Lucille Chapman and husband Murray of Hope Mill, North Carolina; and by other extended and family and many good friends.
A graveside funeral will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Hoffman Cemetery, with Rev. Tom Fowler officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service. At the request of the family, the casket will remain closed.
