James S. Freeman, a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at his home in Tulsa at the age of 73. Jimmy was born on September 26, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jessie Sullivan and Hettie Burgess. Jimmy was raised in Tulsa, attending Central High School and graduating with the class of 1960. Following high school, Jimmy joined the United States Air Force and served from 1961 until 1967. An injury forced Jimmy's retirement from the Air Force and he returned home to Oklahoma. Jimmy was a lifelong member of Thlopthlocco Indian Methodist Church near Okemah, Oklahoma. Jimmy loved listening to classical music, raising his prized dogs, and admired driving and owning nice automobiles. Jimmy is preceded in death by his mother, Hettie Burgess and his father; an aunt, MaryLou Smith; two uncles, Richard Sullivan, Jack Sullivan. He is survived by many other cousins and other extended family including Richard Sullivan of Tulsa and Janice and Stephen Floch of Shawnee, OK, and many good friends. A funeral service for Jimmy will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 2:00pm at Thlopthlocco Indian Methodist Church near Okemah, with David Dunson and Clarence Yahola officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Thlopthlocco Indian Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Watashe, Billy Aldridge, John Lusty, Chad Wells, Steve Dunson, and Billy Aldridge Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Luther Johnson and Steve Floch.
