James Glenn Morgan

October 27, 1937 — July 3, 2021

James Glenn Morgan, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away July 03, 2021 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 83. He was born October 27, 1937 in Natura, Oklahoma to Earnest Otho Morgan & Mary (Martin) Morgan.

James proudly served in the United States Army receiving an honorable discharge in 1962.

He worked as a boilermaker for many years and was a member of the Boiler Maker's Union #592.

His passion was fishing which he taught all the children in the family to do, including catfish noodling. He was known for his "fish fries" and BBQ. He won the chili cookoff in Okmulgee many times.

In addition, to fishing James dearly loved his family. was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his great- granddaughter, Madalynn and all his other grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Mary Morgan, and one brother, Johnny Lee Morgan.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three children, Danny Lee Morgan & wife Elizabeth of Okmulgee, James Lewis Morgan of Okmulgee, and Mary Morgan-Hill & husband Steven of Okmulgee, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one sister, Alyne Morgan-Beaver of Beggs, special Sister, Betty Bruton of Beggs, sister-in-law, Donna Morgan, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be from 2Pm - 3:30 PM on Wednesday at Integrity Funeral Service.

Wake Service are scheduled for Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Concharty Methodist Church in Okmulgee.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Concharty Methodist Church in Okmulgee. Interment will follow at the Bruner-Fleetwood Family Cemetery near Mounds. Military Honors will be conducted by the Muscogee Nation Honor Guard. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.

Pallbearers will be Eric Wilson, Wesley Robison, Pete McDaniels, John Morgan, Cody Laughlin, and John Lee Morgan III. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ernie Morgan, Matt Robison, Kevin Rhoades, Joe Freeman, and Johnny Wilson.
