James Lee McDonald, a resident of Henryetta, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at his home in Henryetta at the age of 68. James was born on October 24, 1946 in Lamar, Colorado to Claud Ernest McDonald and Wilmith D. Collie McDonald. James grew up in the Alva, Oklahoma area. He attended schools there and graduated from Alva High School. He also attended Northwest Oklahoma State University in Alva, where he earned his Bachelor's degree. Subsequently, James completed his education while attending school in Blacksburg, Virginia where he earned a masters degree in Physics and Mathematics. James worked all his entire adult life, working for several years with Encyclopedia Brittanica and later with the American Medical Association. James worked in the membership department there and later was responsible for building computer firewalls within their computer systems. James is survived by two sisters, Betty McDonald of Lawton, Oklahoma and Linda Higby of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma; and one brother, Michael McDonald; by several nieces, nephews and cousins, and he will be missed by the many people who knew and loved him. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
