James Dallas Standridge, a resident of Henryetta, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 in rural Henryetta, OK at the age of 85. He was born March 30, 1928 in Dustin, OK to James Lemuel Standridge & Clarice (King) Standridge. Dallas was a veteran serving in the US Navy from 1946 - 1947. During his time in the Navy he was part of the team that carried out A-Bomb tests in Operation Crossroads in the North Pacific. He was a life member of VFW post 8559 in Iredell, Texas He married Heleene Berger on April 17, 1954 in Cleburne, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Heleene Standridge and his sisters, Opal, Geraldine, Hazel, and Nelva. Dallas is survived by his daughter Julie Annette Thomas & husband Alan Garold of Fairview, Tennessee, 2 granddaughters, Annette Marie Bryant & husband Andrew of Englewood, Tennessee, and Ashley Nicole Holbrook & husband Jason of Harrisonville, Missouri, 3 great grandchildren, Addison, Browder, and Rossie Bryant all of Englewood, one sister, Martha Sue Willis & husband Dean of Dallas, Texas, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 5-8pm on Monday, January 13, 2014 and from 8am-8 on Tuesday, January 14 at Integrity Funeral Service. Family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6-8pm on Tuesday Evening. Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the First Baptist Church at 2:00PM in Dustin. Interment will follow at Dustin Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
