Essie Jean Allbritton was born in Morris, Oklahoma on September 18, 1929 to Rev. William Curtis and Mattie (Hoobler) Whisman. She passed from this life on Saturday April 27, 2019 in Okmulgee Oklahoma.
She married Rex O’Neal Allbritton in Morris in January 1963 and they were blessed with a son, Rex O’Neal Allbritton Jr. who preceded her in death on February 12, 2019. Jeanne worked for many years as a nurse for local Morris doctor William Burnett. She later owned and operated her own beauty shop in her home in Morris. Jeanne was passionate about her family, both immediate and extended. She loved to garden and to can and preserve the fruits of her labor. She was an excellent cook and was well known for her love for the color pink. She was devoted to her belief in the Oneness of God and in the power of Jesus Name.
In addition to her son, she was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved Whisman sisters (Bertha Brill, Thelma Burnett, Rita Flanary, Ruby Vaughn, Myrtle Lee Pearson) and her brothers (Hiram, Floyd, John, Jess and Wiley).
Left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years Rex of the home in Morris, her cherished granddaughter Kayleigh Allbritton of Morris, her twin sister Dee Foster of Morris and a large host of loving nephews and nieces.
