Jerry Ray House, Jr., a longtime resident of the Henryetta and Schulter area, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at his home in Schulter at the age of of 46. Jerry was born on February 18, 1972 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Jerry Ray House, Sr. and Barbara Ann (Tunnell) House.
Jerry grew up in this area living and attending school in Liberty Morris and Dewar Public Schools, graduating from Dewar High School. He later attended college receiving an Associates degree in heat and air technology. Jerry worked for a number of years with Taylor of Oklahoma of Tulsa where he served as an office manager and had recently returned to work for that organization as a service technician.
Jerry attended Victory Christian Church in Tulsa and he was a licensed minister and served as associate pastor briefly at The Tabernacle of Praise in Henryetta. Jerry did lots of hay baling, loved repairing and renovating boats, and had become an accomplished bow and crossbow technician. Most of all, Jerry was a loving son and father, and he will be missed by the many people who knew and loved him.
Jerry is survived by his mother, Barbara Ann House; his father, Jerry Ray House Sr.; a daughter, Whitney Jean House and daughter-in-law, Miriam Sweetin, both of Denver, CO; a longtime friend, Cynthia Qualls of Tulsa; and by three uncles, Carl Peavler and wife Shirley of Weleetka, John House and wife Stephanie of Tennessee, and Jim House of Muskogee; and by numerous cousins; as well as many good friends.
Viewing for Jerry will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 from noon until 8:00pm at Integrity Funeral Service.
A funeral service for Jerry will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Integrity Chapel with Ty and Debbie Barker officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
Pallbearers will be Coey Peavler, Chris Peavler, Austin Peavler, Larry Peavler, and Jody Yarberry.
