Jerry Ray Mead Sr.

Jerry Ray Mead Sr., 78 of Weleetka, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in Weleetka, Oklahoma. He was born on January 6, 1947 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Jackie Ray Mead and Elva Marie (MgGee) Davis.

Jerry grew up and attended schools in Weleetka, graduating in 1965 from Weleetka High School. He later met Jean Watson, and they were married on May 12, 1969 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Jerry was a skilled carpenter, and he also worked construction throughout his life. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Castle, Oklahoma and enjoyed watching television, especially the Oklahoma Sooners, Perry Mason, Walker Texas Ranger, and old westerns. If he wasn't watching television, you could find him playing pool and showing off his billiard's skills at many of his favorite spots near his hometown of Weleetka. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family, and he will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Terry Mead, grandson, Aaron Smith, and great-grandson, Gage Smith.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Mead of Weleetka, Oklahoma; daughter, Shana Sue Reneau and husband Joseph of Springdale, Arkansas; two sons, Jerry Ray Mead, Jr. and wife Tamara of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Jeffery Dale Mead and Laresa of Weleetka, Oklahoma; two sisters, Tearesa Cantrell of Weleetka, Oklahoma and Robbie Mead Peel and husband Robert of Weleetka, Oklahoma; and two sisters-in law, Patricia Zismer, Weleetka, Oklahoma and Loretta Dover and husband Billy of Graham, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Charlette Smith, Sissey Smith, Jacob Smith, Jeffery Mead and wife Maja, and Ashlin Mead as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Viewing for Jerry will be on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 East Trudgeon Street, Henryetta, Oklahoma 74437.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Integrity Funeral Chapel with Reverend Wesley Vanmeter officiating.
