Jerry Ned Duncan

May 24, 1944 — April 11, 2012

Jerry Ned Duncan, 67, passed peacefully in his sleep April 11, 2012 at his home in Henryetta. Jerry was born May 24, 1944 to Jimmie Ned and Beatrice Mae (Howell) Duncan in Beggs, OK. He graduated from Wilson High School with the class of 1962, at which time he continued his career at East Central College. He served two years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.
Jerry touched many young lives in his 36 year career of education, teaching in Okmulgee, Wilson, and Dustin Schools and as Middle School and High School Counselor in Henryetta retiring in 2002. Many people will also remember Jerry as owner of All Seasons Garden Center along with his wife, Jeanie. Jerry was an avid gardener and loved his cattle operation.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Jeanie,
Children Scott Duncan and wife Sherri, of Henryetta,
Michelle Rogers of Rogersville, Missouri,
Aaron Duncan of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
Sarah Duncan of Eufaula,
Grandchildren, Amber Trimm, Taylor Duncan, Jordan Rogers, and Trey Rogers,
One great-grandchild, Gavin Trimm
One brother, Rick Duncan and wife Jenny of Wilson community,
Along with a large extended family and many friends.
Pallbearers will be, Matt Guynes, John Mitchell, Buster Howell, Jack Howell, Danne Spurlock & Chad Spurlock.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday April 13, 2012 at Dewar Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Durnell & Rev. Jack Vance, officiating. Interment will be in Salt Creek Cemetery at Wilson under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Henryetta Education Foundation, First United Methodist Church 1212 S. Lake Road, or charity of your choice.
