Jesse Burwell, Jr

Jesse Burwell Jr, a resident of Hoffman, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at his home in Hoffman, OK at the age of 68. He was born on October 31, 1943 in Crowder, OK to Jess Ryder Burwell & Sarah (Vaught) Burwell. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Michael Wayne Burwell, 3 brothers, Frankie Pogue, Billy Pogue, and Tommy Burwell, 3 sisters, Velma Strum, Mary Lee Ledford, and Edna Seamon. Jesse is survived by his wife, Sharron Burwell of the home, 2 daughters, Brenda Johnson & husband Bear of Morris, and Janet McGee & husband Greg of McAlester, 2 sons, Jimmy Burwell of Dewar, and Jesse E. Burwell of Hoffman, nine grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Austin Burwell, Aaron Burwell, Michael Burwell, Dallas Johnson, Dick Smith, and Luther Waylan. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 23rd, 2012 at Dewar First Baptist Church, 507 W. 6th, Dewar with Rev. Jack Vance, officiating and Rev. Aaron Burwell, assisting. Interment will follow the service at Hoffman Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
