Jesse Lee Eslick

Shurden Funeral Home 411 West Division Street Henryetta, OK 74437 (918) 652-4461 Fax (918) 652-4451 Jesse Lee Eslick, a longtime resident of Henryetta, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 70. Jessie was born on December 18, 1942 in Cortlin County, California to George Ervin Eslick and Bertha Jane Tomlin. Jesse grew up around Henryetta and attended Henryetta Public Schools. He worked for Okmulgee County involving road construction for approximately 29 years before his retirement in 2003. Jesse married Betty Jean Vance on July 15, 2011 in Okmulgee. Jesse is preceded in death by his mother and father; a daughter, Javada Mae Eslick; a brother, Charles Eslick; a brother, Herman Eslick; a brother, James Earl Eslick; a sister, Dorothy Marie Eslick; sister, Louise Ingram; a sister, Ruth Williams; and a brother, Bill Eslick. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Eslick of the home; a son, Jackie Dale Eslick; a daughter, Sharon Ann Threlkeld of Henryetta; a son, Jesse Lee Eslick, Jr. of Henryetta; several grandchildren; by 3 brothers, Calvin Eslick of Henryetta, Virgil Eslick of Okemah, George Eslick of Henryetta; and a sister, Hazel Williams; along with other extended family and many good friends. A graveside funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 10:00am at New Sonora Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
