Jimmy Don Burwell

Jimmy Don Burwell age 55, went to be with our Lord on June 15, 2022. Jimmy was born on August 1, 1966 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Nonna Mae Sherrill & Jesse Burwell Jr.

Jimmy worked at Anchor Glass Container for over 20 years. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, golfing, travel, 4 wheeling & showing off his garden. The stories he would tell of his adventures in that Jeep were priceless. Jimmy loved life to the fullest. his pride was spending time with his family.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Nonna Stacks, father, Jesse Burwell Jr., brother, Michael and step mother, Sharron Burwell.

Survivors include his wife Deon (Dee Dee) Burwell & son, Michael Burwell of the home in Dewar, Grandchildren Gunner Don Burwell & Gavin Jesse Burwell, sisters, Brenda Johnson & Tony Tidwell of Dewar, Janet McGee & husband Greg of McAlester, brother Jesse Burwell & wife Jessica, special brother, Brian Spurlock, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

At the request of the family, the casket will remain closed and there will be no viewing. Visitation with family present will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Integrity Funeral Service from 3:00 PM till 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Dewar First Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Reverend Aaron Burwell officiating. Interment will follow at Hoffman Cemetery in the Hoffman Community east of Henryetta.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Burwell, Austin Burwell, Tony Tidwell, Michael Burwell, Tre' Robinson, Brian Spurlock, Kevin Fowler and Jeremy Tucker.
