Jimmy Starr, a resident of Henryetta, passed away Thursday, February 24th, 2022 in Tulsa at the age of 70. Jimmy was born April 11, 1951 in Holdenville to Mandy Hill. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mandy Hill, a sister, Christine Lewis, brother, Benjamin Hill Jr., maternal grandparents, Eli & Lena Starr, also by Annie Beaver.
Jimmy served his country proudly as a minesweeper. he came home and would start working as a driver in Oklahoma City for many years where he would meet his longtime companion Mary Wolfe. Jimmy and mary would spend many years raising Tyler Hill as their own until he returned to his parents. Jimmy enjoyed camping and cooking over the open fire while visiting with family and friends. He also enjoyed bike riding. Jimmy was much loved and will be greatly missed
He is survived by two sisters, Frances Lewis of Eufaula;
Pauline Lewis of Shawnee;
Two brothers, Thomas Lewis of Dustin;
Sampson Lewis of Henryetta;
Son, Tyler Hill of Oklahoma City;
Aunts, Aliene Starr of Okmulgee and Amy (Jerry Reagan of Morris
Also by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2022 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Harley Lewis, Nathan Lewis, Tyler Lewis, Vicente Candelario, Boysie Hill and Dennis Reagan
Honorary Pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.
Wake services are at 7:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Dustin.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Faith Baptist Church in Dustin with Rev. Phillip Harjo officiating.
Interment to follow at Starr Family Cemetery in the Ryal Community.
Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
