Waldon, a former resident Hanna, Okmulgee, and Tulsa, passed from this life on Monday, April 8, 2013 in Chouteau, Oklahoma at the age of 89. Jo was born on May 8, 1923 in Hanna, Oklahoma to Theo Bradford and Rosa Westfall Bradford. Jo grew up in Hanna, attended Hanna Public Schools and graduated from Hanna High School. Jo married the love of her life Odell B. Waldon in Hanna on September 9, 1938. They remained happily married for 59 years until Odell's death in 1997. She lived most of her life in the Hanna area before moving to Tulsa in 1973. Jo worked for the US Postal Service as a postal clerk. She retired in 1988 with over 35 years of faithful service. Jo is preceded in death by her husband Odell who died January 12, 1997; her mother and father; her daughter, Bobbie Coughran; 2 brothers, James Bradford and John Bradford; and by two sisters, Nell Carter and Jean Christian. She is survived by a daughter, Diane Mahan of Henryetta; 4 grandchildren, Staci Pierce of Pryor and Ronnie Pierce, Shana Yingling and husband Howard of Chouteau, Joshua Mahan and wife Jinger of Tulsa, and Matthew Mahan and wife Amy of Broken Arrow; by 10 great grandchildren, Autumn Stafford and husband Bryce of Tahlequah, Aimee Elkins and fiance' Tyler of Tulsa, Zachary Pierce of Pryor, Kaitlyn Elkins of Chouteau, Megan Pierce of Pryor, Brayden and Grace Mahan of Broken Arrow, Ella Whitworth, Cameron and Jakob Mahan, all of Tulsa; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many good friends. Viewing will be held at Shurden Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from noon until 8pm and on Thursday from 8am to 8pm. Funeral services for Jo will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 10:00am in Shurden Chapel with Rev. Kevin Bradford officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Hanna Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Josh Mahan, Matt Mahan, Zach Pierce, Ronnie Pierce, Bryce Stafford, Shana Yingling, and Staci Pierce
