Joe Bear Sr. a resident of Dustin, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, December 2, 2010 in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 54. Joe was born to Buster Bear Sr. and Bettey (Bruner) Bear on August 31, 1956 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Buster Bear Sr. Joe is survived by his 6 children, Lijiah Ray Bear & wife Randella of Oklahoma City, Jennifer Lee Bear of Checotah, Sheila Bear of Minnesota, Joe Bear Jr. of Checotah, Beth Ann Bear of Minnesota, and Delana Michelle Hicks & husband Rylan of Okmulgee,12 grandchildren, his mother, Betty Jane Bear of Dustin, brothers, Buster Kelly Bear Jr. & wife Kathy of Henryetta, Nathan Bear & wife Elizabeth of Cash, Oklahoma, and Eddie Lee Bear of Tulsa, Oklahoma, sisters, Ima Ferdig & husband Dennis of St. Louis, Missouri, Inez Zimmerman & husband Rick of Allen, Texas, Ila Fife & husband Brian of Dustin, Linda Jane Bear of Dustin, and Sallie Ann Harmon & husband James of Dustin, 2 half brothers, Erwin Bear of Okmulgee, and Adam Bear of Tulsa, half sister, Emily Bear of Henryetta, as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers will be Joe's nephews, honorary pallbearers will be Leland Bear, Brian Fife, Rick Zimmerman, Dennis Ferdig, and James Harmon. Wake Services are scheduled for Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Dustin Indian Community Center. Funeral Services will be Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Dustin Indian Community Center at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Timmie Lowe and Rev. Wallace Gambler officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Harjo Family Cemetery in Ryal.
