Joe (Sonny) Fisher passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 27, 2021. He was surrounded by loving friends and family during the last days of his life. Joe was born on December 11, 1934 in Weleetka, Oklahoma. He loved to work on projects, such as fixing the lawn mower or working on his truck. Joe enjoyed painting, fishing, helping others and much more. He was an X-ray pipeline inspector. Joe served in the Korean War, and later served in President Eisenhower’s Honor Guard.
Joe was preceded in death by his late wife, Elna Fisher and an infant daughter, Baby Girl Fisher. He was also preceded by his mother and father, Wynah (Harjo) Fisher and Eli Fisher; a brother, Arthur (Doc) Fisher; and a sister, Margie (Fisher) Harjo. He is survived by his wife, Tina Fisher; seven sons, Ronald Fisher, David Fisher, Allen Fisher, Kevin Fisher, Brian Fisher, Robert Parker and Trevor Fisher; two daughters, Naomi King and Gloria Parker, brother, Tommy Dale Fisher. Joe is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing and visitation is scheduled to be from 3:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday, June 3rd, 2021 at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 East Trudgeon, Henryetta, Oklahoma
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00PM Friday, June 4th, 2021 At Integrity Chapel, 410 East Trudgeon, Henryetta, Oklahoma.
Interment to follow at Okmulgee Cemetery at the Veterans Circle
Officiating will be Reverend Mitchell Taylor and Minister Kyle Gregorio.
Pallbearers will be sons: Ronald Fisher, David Fisher, Allen Fisher, Kevin Fisher, Brian Fisher, Trevor Fisher and Robert Parker
Honorary Pallbearers: Lewis Tulsa Jr, Jubal McCarley and Calvin Parker Jr.
Military Honors will be conducted by the Mvskoke Nation Honor Guard
