Joe "Spook" R. Mcintosh

December 14, 1933 — May 8, 2021

Joe R. “Spook” McIntosh, a resident of Gentry Creek passed away Saturday, May 8th, 2021, at home surrounded by his family at the age of 87. He was born December 14, 1933, to John “Cap” and Velva (Richard) McIntosh. He was married to Stella (Davis) McIntosh on September 10, 1960. He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Cavalier. He owned and operated a shoe, boot and saddle business for many years.


Among his many accomplishments were coaching little league baseball, winning two state championships and coaching state and national champion tumblers. His ability to teach a sport, whether it was rodeo, bowling or golf, he could teach you. Every kid had a talent and he found it. His love for everyone he met and the impression he left will forever be treasured.
His accomplishment he was most proud of was his children, grandchildren and family. Family was everything to him, always.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Velva McIntosh, wife, Stella McIntosh, brothers: John Amos McIntosh, Pete McIntosh, David McIntosh, Abraham McIntosh, Sister, Wyvonna McIntosh.


Survivors include his three children, Stoney and Yvonne McIntosh, Stanley McIntosh, Sonya and Jamey Hothouse, brothers, Ledtey McIntosh & wife Beverly of Norman, Richard McIntosh of Norman and a special niece who was his fourth child, LouAnn McIntosh Smith. Grandchildren, Raylynn McIntosh, Keegan McIntosh and Ariel. Bonus Grandchildren who shared is love, Jordan, Josh, Justin, Clarissa, Ryker, Teesha, Josh, Peyton and Kodie. One great grandchild - August “Auggie” Sixkiller. A host of nieces and nephews that he loved very much.


Pallbearers will be Jody Smith, Josh Hewitt, Ryker Sixkiller, Johnny Braxton, Brett Tiger and Josh Been.Honorary Pallbearers will be Dickie Ted Smith, Casey McIntosh, Mark Archer, Peyton Hothouse, Danny Joe Spurlock, Ty McIntosh, Sam Pointer, Jr., Robert Davis, Dennis Bible, Richard “Big Dad” McIntosh, and Jackie Miller


Viewing will be Tuesday, May 11th, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Integrity Funeral Service, with visitation following from 6:00 until 8:00 pm in Integrity Chapel.


Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Silver Spring Cemetery with Rev. Ledtkey Mcintosh officiating assisted by Rev. A. J. Tiger. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
