John Maron Keylon, a resident of Henryetta, passed from this life in the early morning hours of Monday, October 7, 2013 in Okmulgee at the age of 71. John was born on January 10, 1942 in HItchita, OK to Eddie Keylon and Anna Mae Mathis Keylon. John grew up living in New Mexico and California before returning to Oklahoma during his high school years. John attended and graduated from Hitchita High School in 1960. Following graduation, John attended Oklahoma State University and studied engineering for several years. Following his college experience, John joined the U.S. Air Force where he served honorably for approximately 3 years. John married the love of his life, Carla Wilson on October 29, 1967 in Okemah, Oklahoma. John worked for Ball Glass Corporation in Okmulgee as an electrician. He worked in Okmulgee until 1995 before moving to Ruston, Louisiana where he worked the last two years of his career. John retired in 1996 with 32 years of faithful service to Ball Glass. John is preceded in death by his mother and father, by 15 brothers and sisters, and his wife, Carla Wilson Keylon who passed on October 4, 2004. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Rogers and husband John of Canadian, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, James and Matthew Blatchford of Canadian, OK; a brother, Dan Keylon of Henryetta; and a sister, Pauline of Walnut Grove, California. A memorial service for John is scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 10:00am in the chapel at Integrity Funeral Service with Rev. Sherry Heath officiating. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Keylon, James Blatchford, Matthew Blatchford, John Rogers, Danny Keylon, and Ron Dodson.
