John Roy Mcgee

John Roy McGee, a resident of rural Henryetta passed away Monday, October 13th, 2014 in Henryetta at the age of 79. He was born September 2, 1935 in Stidham, Oklahoma to Daniel Earl McGee & Elizabeth Willard McGee. He married Metta Boatright October 6, 1970 in Okmulgee. He was a farmer and a member of Dewar First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Metta McGee of the home; Two sons: Frank Lee McGee of Henryetta; Roy Travis McGee & wife Becky of Henryetta; One grandson: Cooper McGee of Henryetta; Four sisters: Marcine Carter & husband Leonard of Sapulpa; Mildred Brown & husband Johnny Mae of Eufaula; Lois Jean Kelly & husband Donald of Eufaula; Wanda Faye Neal & husband Ross of Eufaula; One brother: Bobby Ray McGee & wife Kathy of Henryetta; Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel & Elizabeth McGee, also by two brothers, Harold Dean McGee & Billy Earl McGee. Pallbearers will be, Christopher Boatrigtht, Jonathan Boatright, Aaron Boatright, Ronnie W. Brison, & Ricky Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be, Bobby Peavler, Junior Smith, & Kenny Gibson. Viewing will begin on Wednesday, October 15th from 5-8 pm and again on Thursday from 8am-8pm. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 at Westlawn Cemetery with Rev. Jack Vance & Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
