John Scott Miller

John Scott Miller was born on May 10m 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri to John and Betty Miller. He passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at his home in Okemah. He grew up in Leawood, Kansas along with a brother and a sister. He graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 1979. On December 30, 1985, he married his high school sweetheart, Carol Lynn Beaver at Leawood United Methodist Church. They lived in Olathe, Kansas along with their three children, Jason and twin girls, Amanda and Vanessa, until he moved his family to Okemah, Oklahoma in 1989, where they still live today. In 1991, Amber, their fourth child was born. In 2002 he started his career as an Armed Security Guard. Scott also loved the outdoors. He loved, camping, fishing, and gardening. Most of all he loved playing with his grandchildren. John Scott is survived by is wife Carol Lynn Miller of the home, son, Jason Beaver & wife Marlene Fitch of Tulsa, daughter, Amanda Ryba of Maud, Oklahoma, daughter, Vanessa Johnson & husband Gabriel of Henryetta, and daughter, Amber Scott & husband John of Okemah, 6 grandchildren, and one grandchild expected any day, his parents, John Earl and Betty Jo Miller of Prairie Village, Kansas, brother, Jeff Miller & wife Gina of Springhill, Kansas, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. A Memorial service will be held at Integrity Funeral Service Chapel in Henryetta at 2:00 pm, on Friday, June 13, 2014 with Rev. Edwin Jimboy, officiating. Burial will follow at Jimboy Family Cemetery near Okemah under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
