John Franklin Shipman

John Franklin Shipman, a resident of Lenna passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in Lenna at the age of 76. He was born September 7, 1939 in Lenna, Oklahoma to Riley D. Shipman and Gertrude Mae (Proe) Shipman. He worked for many years as a contract truck driver and was a member of the Lenna Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, also by 2 brothers, four sisters, and an infant sister.
He is survived by one daughter, Serena Towlerton & husband Shad of Crystal Lake, California; two granddaughters; Four sisters, Betty McGuire & husband C. D. of Muskogee; Juanita Smoot of Sachse, Texas; Shirley Fowler & husband James of Boynton; June Rush & husband Doug of Eufaula; Two brothers, Charles (Tony) Shipman & wife Diane of Prescott, Arizona; Don Shipman of Eufaula; Also by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Lenna Baptist Church. Arrangements are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
