Joseph Leon Harjo

Joseph Leon "Chubby" Harjo, a resident of Tulsa, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 50. He was born March 8, 1963 in Wewoka, OK to J W Harjo Sr. & Naomie Ruth (Simmer) Harjo. Chubby was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Corky, JW Harjo Jr., and Jason, and by one sister, Sheila Harjo. He is survived by his daughter, Clarrisa Cosey & husband Archie of Tulsa, daughter, Elissa Linsey of Seminole, son, Johnathan Harjo of Oklahoma City, daughter, Sara Long of Tecumseh, son, Michael Jarjo of Cleveland, Oklahoma, 7 grandchildren, special friend, Renee Pryor of Tulsa, sister, Lee Harjo of Okemah, brother Daniel Harjo of Okemah, and Brother Tim Harjo of Okmuglee, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. A wake service will be held at 7pm Thursday Evening, August 15, 2013 at Greenleaf Indian Baptist Church in Okemah. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, August 16, 2013 at Greenleaf Indian Baptist Church in Okemah. Interment will follow at the Greenleaf Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
