Shurden Funeral Home 411 West Division Street Henryetta, OK 74437 (918) 652-4461 Fax (918) 652-4451 Josephine Kathleen Noah, a longtime resident of Weleetka, passed from this life on Sunday, March 17, 2013 in Tulsa at the age of 85. Josephine was born on March 7, 1928 in Okmulgee to Mitchell Larney and Fannie Ditzler Larney. Josephine grew up in the Okmulgee and Weleetka communities. She attended Weleetka Public Schools. After high school, Josephine married Orvel Noah on March 22, 1957 in Nevada. They remained happily married until Orville's death. Josephine was a member of Job's Daughter Southwest and the Red Hat Society. She loved gardening, sewing and crocheting, and considered bingo a favorite pastime. Josephine is preceded in death by her husband; her mother and father; and 3 brothers, Thompson Larney, Samuel Larney, and James Larney. She is survived by a brother, Richard Larney of Henryetta; a sister, Charlotte Swyden of Irving, Texas; 2 sons, Joseph Crawford and wife Sylvia of Weleetka and Orvel Noah, Jr. and wife Wilma of Hollywood, Florida; a daughter, Geraldine Crawford of Sacramento, California; 8 grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and many good friends. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 10:00am at Weleetka Hillcrest Cemetery (new addition) with Rev. James Page officiating. Interment will follow the service under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home of Henryetta. Viewing will be at Shurden Funeral Home from noon to 5pm on Wednesday, March 20. Pallbearers will be Heath Noah, Nick Noah, Brad Noah, Rayce Noah, James Payne, and Travis Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be Brett Birdcreek, Richard Larney, Jr., Mitchell Larney, and Danny Larney.
